My name is Logan Mason and I am a senior at Franklin County High School. Although my senior year got cut a little short due to the Coronavirus, I have still had a positive outlook on the situation. I have had more time to spend with my family and more time to prepare myself for college. Although I lost my senior baseball season, I am thankful to have the opportunity to play baseball in college at Eastern Mennonite University. I am thankful for the friends and memories that I have made throughout my high school career.
My accolades include:
- Elected by FCHS Administration, as 1 of 9 students out of 2,200, to attend the 2019 Jostens Renaissance National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. (Summer going into senior year)
- Awarded the Iron Eagle Award by the baseball team (2016, 2018, 2019)
- All-Academic Sports Team (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020)

- Academic AB Honor Roll (Junior, Senior)
- Member of National Honors Society (2018, 2019, 2020)
- Member of National Society of High School Scholars (2019, 2020)
I am remaining positive throughout the pandemic by:
- Spending time with family
- Staying in touch with my friends
- Continuing to help the community by running calls with the Rocky Mount Volunteer Fire Department
- Preparing for college and my future
- Working hard to get better in baseball
